This is a risograph printed poster of an opossum with a rather ecstatic expression for their grim scenario, which I tend to depict a lot in some of my printed works as almost a fun expression of frustration, as well as for practicing fun character movements. This piece is printed on parchment toned paper from French Paper, which is very pricy, but French Paper makes wonderful and durable paper. I really enjoyed the textured and aged look that was achieved when the risograph machine was printing on it. You can see the difference in that texture from the digital file, to the actual print. This same design I have also printed with stickers as well. Included in the photos is also the same piece printed in a Xerox Candy Bar anthology Zine titled "Funny Animals". Xerox Candy Bar is the comics club in School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and every semester put out a theme for club members and students alike to create comics and illustrations that are then put together into one large anthology zine.
