Back in 2020 when I was in my painting II class, we did a silk painting of an aquatic scenario, based on photos we took in a local aquarium in my hometown. Its the second silk painting I've ever done and I thoroughly enjoy the process. Its a very different medium than I'm used to working with, but sometimes that grants experimentation and helps with loosening up. The image of the painting is a mash of various photos taken, as most of these animals would not even be seen together originally. In the image, the silk painting is still mounted to the stretcher, as covid hit before I could apply it to a final frame.
