Redtail Bearfish

An illustration of a made up specimen called the Redtail Bearfish. It is a fusion of the Redtail Catfish and Grizzly Bears. This piece was made for work at the Field Museum to help inspire teens to use specimen to create art on the ipad. I wanted to go for an editorial approach, and go along as if this is an animal that could exist in our world. Bears themselves already spend so much time in and around water that I felt it would be a fitting fusion.
