A concept for a creature called Dredge, which is a beast that roams coastal wetlands, particularly coastal plain swamps. They wade through water slowly, using their long stringy 'hair' as camouflage, it typically appearing as floating debris and grasses. Its appearance to giraffes is superficial, as it has no direct lineage to them. Dredges create their homes by using their large spade like mouthes to dig up large clumps of dirt that they use to build structures on certain surfaces such as exposed rock or a gathering of logs. This is also how they feed, digging through dirt to find food such as small vegetation, mollusks and fish.
